My dear Mom (Mother Nature),

You are the playground with natural beauty and homes of millions of people from different cultures and religions. We have observed your unparalleled beauty, the rays of sunshine that look like melting gold, the lines of coconut trees by the shore of the calm sea, the waterfalls dropping down in full force from the top of the mountains, and many more wonders of your creation. But why are you looking so pale like a Bonquo’s Ghost? Oh! The answer is well-known to us. Perhaps, we didn’t take good care of you. That’s why one of our greatest poets uttered in grief——–“My country! In thy day of glory past/A beauteous halo circled round thy bow, /and worshipped as a deity thou west/where is that glory, where that reverence now?” Now the grandeur of prairie has been transformed into a football field. Selfishness amongst your sons and daughters has overshadowed their sanity and created an apple of discord about the preservation of your natural beauty. Everyone in the society tries to rule over each other. Our love for you is wearing off. Our mind is just like an electrolytic capacitor which is constantly charging to jealousy and ambition like that of Lady Macbeth. Honesty has disappeared from the Earth. The candle of truth is burning out quickly. Everyone is living at the lowest esteem like the stray dogs and cats. The words of General MacArthur still hold good—-“the value of human blood, dignity and life has been forgotten”. We are about to destroy your natural beauty because of greedy promoters that are building skyscrapers for profit. A radar signal can be detected but who can detect the greed and dishonesty of the human minds? We, your children may turn out to be the future engineer but who will guide us to move forward and follow that path? We hope that the self realization will continue to prevail and we will be able to restore your lost beauty, pride and glory and then the ageless Sun, the Moon and the jolly and joyous Nature will be smiling upon us and, we will be appreciating and congratulating you. Our minds will then be soothed and we will jump around like playful children and will be showered with peace and happiness.
