খনার বছন সংগ্রহ একটা চটি বইয়ে পাওয়া যেত। কেউ হয়ত সেটাকে digitize করে আন্তর্জালে ছেড়েছিল, সেখান থেকেই download করেছিলাম। বাংলা প্রবাদের সংগ্রহ বিভিন্ন জায়গা থেকে পাওয়া। তাই formatting ওইরকম এলো মেলো। আগে আমি তিন ভাষায় এক প্রবাদের সংগ্রহ বানাতে শুরু করেছিলাম – বাংলা, ইংরেজি ও জার্মান। বলা বাহুল্য, বেশীর ভাগ জার্মান প্রবাদের অনুবাদে ইংরেজি প্রবাদ পাওয়া যায় বটে, কিন্তু বেশীর ভাগ বাংলা প্রবাদের অনুবাদে উপযুক্ত ইংরেজি বা জার্মান প্রবাদ পাওয়া যায় না। আমার ত্রিভাষার file-টা MS Excel হওয়াতে ইচ্ছা মত বাংলা, ইংরেজি বা জার্মান ভাষায় বর্ণানুক্রম indexing করে নাওয়া যায় ঠিকই, কিন্তু বানাতে প্রচুর খাটতে হয়। সেই সময়ে আমার কাজের আর যাতায়াতের সময় নিয়ে আমাকে গড়ে ১৫ ঘণ্টা বাড়ির বাইরে থাকতে হত, সপ্তাহে theoretically দেড় দিন ছুটি, practically এক দিন। তাই, কাজটা আর চালু রাখতে পারিনি। অবসর প্রাপ্তির পরে, আবার শুরু করে বেশ কিছু বাংলা প্রবাদ সংগ্রহ করেছি, কিন্তু পরে সাজিয়ে নেব ঠিক করে সব ওই MS Office file-এ জমা করেছিলাম। পরে দেখলাম বন্ধু বান্ধব বা কনিষ্ঠ আত্মীয়দের আড্ডা দিতে যত উৎসাহ, বাংলা প্রবাদ সংগ্রহ digitize করাতে তার সিকির সিকিও নেই। তাই, আমার উৎসাহেরও ভাটা পড়ল।

বাংলা হরফের unicode হওয়াতে এখন বাংলা লেখার যেমন সুবিধা হয়েছে, তেমনি আন্তর্জালে প্রকাশিত বাংলা বইয়েরও অঢেল প্রাচুর্য্য হয়েছে। কারো যদি উৎসাহ থাকে, তবে নিম্নলিখিত link-গুলো থেকে প্রচুর বাংলা প্রবাদ download করতে পার। তবে, একটা সাবধান বাণী দিই। আন্তর্জালে বাংলা লেখায় বাঙালীদের চেয়ে বাংলাদেশীদের নিষ্ঠা, উৎসাহ ও অবদান অনেক, অনেক বেশী। তাই, বাংলাদেশী সংগ্রহ থেকে download করলে, সাবধানে বানানগুলো যাচাই করে ভুলগুলো শুধরে নিতে হবে, না হলে পড়ে লোকে হাসবে।
