Spiritual Engineering is needed before Secular Engineering, to be calm and reflective.

Paine wrote, “The mind once enlightened cannot again become dark. What we obtain
cheap, we esteem lightly; My own mind is my own church.” Yoga takes the mind to an
elevated still state else it is difficult to preserve freedom in the midst continual warfare
which is the truth of life. Yoga states the mind has 4 aspects – cogitative, memory bank,
sense of I, determinative – in a state of agitation. With Yoga, it moves to a stable
platform from which nothing can ruffle one off, throw off balance, react calmly to
events, the mind remains in one’s own hands, thus manage self, time, people, problems,
ambiguities. That why without any spiritual education, it becomes only literacy. True
character development shows up when one is able to sublimate anger, pettiness, impulse
in favor of a calm temperament; the privilege to choose to transform our nature within.

Yoga leads to self-control and restraint which is the foundation of emotional
intelligence, Wisdom, enduring happiness, work ethics, health, discipline in Life

Yoga is a vast subject. It makes work life and life work. Yoga is the foundation of
Bramhacharya (Yogic Practice for Character, Concentration, Consciousness, Mental
Toughness), Grihastha (Self-Control, Restraint to carry out Relationship stay committed
in Work), Vanaprashtha (Sharing Yogic Wisdom and integrating with Practical Aspects
of Life), Sanyas (Contemplation for Self and Society). To have a relationship one first
needs to learn to relate to one’s inner self; not about parties & gluttony, but spiritual
growth. It transforms the mental complexity of inner hell to flowing heavenly energy.

Living in harmony needs Spiritual Discipline, else things can go South at any moment
The mind is rigged with – anger, greed, anxiety which needs regular Spiritual Practice
to learn restraint, self-control for emotional intelligence, focus and enduring happiness.
After Independence Israel revived a dead language Hebrew. Maybe it is time that
besides doing a 9-5 job, revive some of the culture of Dharma in terms of studying
practical uses of Yoga, Ayurveda, Sanskrit, Classical Arts, Music, Dance, Chants,
Martial Arts, Organic Farming, and see its connection with Ethics, Mind, Health,
Design some metrics to measure Spiritual competency levels of people and leaders.
Yoga opens a new dimension that there is no life’s calling but life is calling
https://bodha.com/journal/avoiding-stagnation
When life calls, involvement becomes total. One finds confidence in doing things that
one has never done before. Michelangelo, took up painting, although he was into
sculpture. He did not socialize, but relished in getting stones from the quarry, anatomy,
dissecting bodies. Yoga takes us to a ‘being-doing-having’ mode, so as not to stagnate.
