The Last Letter to Humanity
— A Letter from Mother Earth
Dear Humanity,
I still remember your very first footprints—
So small, so gentle, so full of wonder.
You danced beneath my open skies,
And called every sunrise a miracle.
I wrapped you in forests,
Fed you with rivers,
And lit your nights
With countless stars.
You called me Mother.
But somewhere along the journey,
You forgot my name.
You traded birdsong for endless noise,
Clear rivers for restless smoke,
Ancient trees for empty streets,
And silence… for machines that never sleep.
Did you not hear my forests cry
As they fell one by one?
Did you not see my oceans
Trying to swallow their own tears?
Yet, even now,
I do not write with anger.
I write with hope.
Because I have seen children
Plant tiny trees with giant dreams.
I have seen strangers
Become family after every storm.
I have seen hands
Lift one another higher than fear.
Perhaps… not all is lost.
Remember—
The air you breathe is my gift.
The water you drink is my heartbeat.
The soil beneath your feet
Is where tomorrow begins.
Do not wait for another generation
To heal what you can heal today.
When my rivers sing again,
When my forests wear their emerald crowns,
When the sky becomes a canvas of stars once more—
Do not thank me.
Thank yourselves.
For choosing kindness over greed,
Hope over despair,
And life over destruction.
This is not my farewell.
It is your final chance
To write a different ending.
With endless love,
Your Mother, Earth
