(La Marseillaise)
পরের দিন পৌরপ্রধানের সামনে গেয়ে শোনালেন সেই নতুন যুদ্ধসঙ্গীত (Chant de Guerre pour l’Armée du Rhin – শাঁ দ্য গ্যের দ্য লার্মে দু রিন – War Song for the Army of the Rhine).

Allons enfants de la patrie,
Le jour de gloire est arrivé !
Contre nous de la tyrannie
L’étendard sanglant est levé ! (bis)
Entendez-vous dans les campagnes,
Mugir ces féroces soldats ?
Ils viennent jusque dans nos bras
Égorger nos fils, nos compagnes!
Refrain (Repeat, chorus)
Aux armes, citoyens !
Formez vos bataillons !
Marchons ! Marchons !
Qu’un sang impur
Abreuve nos sillons !
