Introduction – Curiosity

Author: Debu Chaudhuri | Posted on: 7th, Sep, 2023

After my retirement in 2017, I was at a loss for how I would spend my time. A few good advice from my seniors and my hidden interest gave me a direction; it is as if my fused light bulb magically lighted up. I felt like a foolish grownup person who had only read school and college books to get ready for the job and earn money for a fulfilling life. Sorry, Debu, now it is the time for the true realization of life, my body and mind emphatically assure me that old age will end; many questions are creeping into my mind. Who we are? Where do we come from? Where we will go at the end.
A dreaded curiosity about what happens when the heart goes to a flat line? I am not a religious person in a true sense. Where are the answers? My youngest son said ‘Dad today’s technology made your life easy to read more about anything of your interest. So I started Googling, sure on the internet, and many websites allowed me to channel my hungry appetite for quick answers for our life, cycle of life, death, and transition of the two states. Not so fast, my small brain can’t even comprehend simple present life and the material world. I took refuge in understanding simple physics. This time I read not for grade but to get some truth behind basic science and physics. Time passing was not so difficult, since 2015 I kept myself busy with reading simple physics. I am not ashamed to confess I can’t remember what I read after a day, so I kept small notes and tried to write a few small chapters of physics in simple terms, just basic understanding, no mathematical terms, no real equations, etc. I consider my writing up as an old age time passing storytelling from an old man who wants to understand the transition of life to nature. Last few years I tried my best to compose my notes in a few chapters from the early stage of our understanding of physics from atoms down to quarks, energy, and field. Again, please note it is just the doorway to actual physics for basic understanding and creating interest. You may find some part interests you, then I suggest embracing yourself with many interesting websites on science and physics from educational institutions, and libraries.
If you have time please open the following links and share them with others, especially with school-going children of all ages.

Debu, just understanding the basic component of the physical objects is not enough – our life cycle and eventually meeting with the energy where we actually come demands more attention to COSMOS, a basic understanding of the universe, planets, galaxies, etc. that is seen the nature in a macro scale, and I find it is really fascinating and mind-boggling. I must admit scratching the surface of COSMOS will not be enough to see the present and transitory state of life when we discard our body for a long journey with only part of the energy (soul) and return back to the source and, then only to begin a new journey to reincarnate. I believe in reality and set my mind to understanding the larger component of the unseen energy source and fields. Every day I stare at the sky at night time as if a baby looking at his mother.
Physics can’t answer in the laboratory the entire COSMOS phenomenon. Many great scientists and humans like Einstein, and Hubble gave us their gift of knowledge and understanding and tried to add an equation to combine with relativity and cosmic constant. Hubble constant proves for an ever-increasing universe. Modern telescopes disproved old ideas of static and constant fixed universe by many great astronomers and philosophers. However primitive humans looked at the limitless sky with questions of its greatness, and many astronomers and philosophers guided modern scientists with more and more definitive answers and surely it will continue.
There are many articles, videos, and websites on the subject of COSMOS. I will try to skim some parts to write a few articles.
