Language of the Dove

Author: Hillol Ray | Posted on: 5th, Jun, 2021

Sign language offered me an instant fun,
And I learned it at the age of only ten-
My mom was the Guru to teach me this,
But rhymes were flowing out of my pen!
Perchance my childish mind fell in love
With the language and rhyme in a rush-
At times, my thrills caused her headaches,
And she spanked before telling me to hush!

With progression of age, I tried not to be a sage,
And a cute lady asked if I had money by chance-
With a big dimple, my enquiry was simple,
If she spoke language of the dove and dance!
Teary eyed and happy throughout that Winter sunset,
She showed love to my heart, and a proof of money-
And even she carried on the language of the dove,
To avoid a “honeysuckle prick”, as it’s not funny!

Language of the dove creates the silhouette music,
And smoothly initiates the moments to fall in love-
Hazed with the unrelinquished dreams without screams,
But the “skill” is perfected over time, like by the dove!

Life crawls through the changes, and meanders
Like the stream, amidst the roots of orchard tree-
And the green gracious gardens of Eden wink and wander
For Adam and Eve, the mating dove, to fall in love free!!!
