Games of Civilization

Author: Kamal Acharyya | Posted on: 19th, Nov, 2025

Big and small, high and low,good and bad, right and wrong….
all adjectives, attributes and opposites are not absolute
but mere relative! all the games of our civilization
are centered around this definition,
and we all are players in the games, where everyone looks
like a puppet at the end!

You claim, i’m short and you’re tall,
but i say, you’re short among the tall, and i stand tall among
the short after all; you claim, i’m black and you’re white,
but i say, you’re black among the white, and among the black
i’m white and bright; thus all the games of life and civilization
are relative and full of contradictions!

You consider yourself superior with arrogance, pride and power,
you look down upon less powerful ones, as if they are all
subhuman or animals; but you forget that there are others
in the game more powerful than you, who can crush you like
an insect to achieve their own selfish ends!

Every human being, animal, bird,insect, tree, fruit and flower,
is a wonder of the universe; an integral part of the endless game
played by the invisible creator, with supreme power of nature;
each creation thus is unique and grand
and holds beauty and marvel beyond our command!

We, with very limited knowledge and narrow insight,
unable to comprehend the purpose of nature’s plan infinite;
so we judge and level, divide and compare, then categories
all creations into good or bad, and play this game of civilization –
the game of superiority, inferiority,
classification, segregation and separation!

But in reality, everything and everyone are equal, not relative
or absolute in the end, as every creation is a wonder of the
universe, a masterpiece in nature‟s continuing game!!
