Time

Author: Kamal Acharyya | Posted on: 25th, Jul, 2025

“Time” the gink, strange and naughty, very stubborn,
adamant and haughty, keeps moving relentlessly at its
own pace, neither slow nor fast, never
losing the race; as per infallible laws of the vast universe,
bound by the mysterious force of rotation of Earth,
from sunrise to sunset to the depth of night,
never failing from eternity’s dawn till date!

All our life’s journey starts and finishes with this ever
vanishing trickster’s wishes; from our birth’s beginning
till death’s embrace Time marks the journey of our race;
we spend our lives in the vast expanse of Time, so many days,
months and years, all pass by one by one in a glance,
morning to evening to night in a timeless dance!

Actually, you know my friend,
Time slips away at its own swiftness, howsoever you and me,
each one of us may spend it in our own ways –
quickly in comfort-bliss-happiness
or slowly in trouble-pain-distress,
but mostly in boredom and monotony of each banal routine of mundane day!

Year after year Time moves on,
and we are caught in the life’s routine song,
spending Time in our own limits and circle,
confined to our own rhythm and pace, along the life’s charter journey,
like clockwork, dancing through fleeting hours,
unknowingly, we reach our twilight,
Sailing on Time’s boat of eternity!

In twilight’s hold, Time seems to slow, it doesn’t move,
it keeps on haunting -“what to do”… “what to do”…;
yet there is no dearth of work or play, and definitely,
Time will fly away,if you are busy with what you like –
your passion, hobby and pastime!

So, let’s make the most use of our Time, let’s cherish every moment,
without wasting any, let’s live our lives to the fullest,
always keeping Time in company,
the great leveler in our life’s ride –
it will heal all your wounds
arising out of pain and failures!
Ultimately, Time flows along the continuity of life from
birth to death and beyond, and we all reach the same destination
finally……
