Yogic Practice can help understand Work is Life on Labor Day
by Chanakya Ganguly (for US Labor Day 2022)
Yogic Practice can help one live a simple, frugal, unostentatious life totally dedicated to
building the self, society, family, and nation, then one will find that there is no such thing as
work-life balance. Work is life, and life is work. It can then be linked the incorruptibility,
strength, honesty, law and order, low inflation, jobs, housing, discipline, and purpose in Life.
The first step is Dharma (calmness, focus, nerves of steel, then stress does not impact
one’s health. One can remain on a natural high, without the need to smoke, drink, get
sick, be obese, or consume stimulants). Next is Artha (Money to find meaning in Life). After
that Kama (Sensible Pleasures and Not Hedonism like Classical Arts, Languages), then
Moksha (Spiritual Contentment); leads to a culture of motivation, EQ, and commitment.
Yoga can help understand The Social Contract of Enlightenment by Rousseau
https://www.doyou.com/yoga-and-your-negative-emotions/
Rousseau was a person of enlightenment who perceived things differently. He urged
returning to a “state of nature”. In “The Social Contract” which greatly influenced the
French Revolution, he said, “Man is born free, and he is everywhere in chains”. Yoga
says, without a Spiritual Process of Enlightenment, one can get entangled in chains.
With inner spiritual striving, acceptance, and contentment, one can set oneself free.
Yoga can help understand the 3 threads within that expresses themselves in Science, Spirit
https://yogapractice.com/yoga/gunas/
Yoga says, there are three threads: inertia (tamas), overactive (rajas), calm focus
(sattwa); more of the first and less of the second by default. Based on one’s practice
change happens. One’s inner nature is the sum of these; can be changed from inaction,
deflated, darkness to action, inflated, overactive to light, contented, balanced & selfless
action; can also be seen in Newton’s Laws: first (inertia), second (force), third (balance).

Yoga can provide a culture of motivation like Tom Brady’s TB12 lifestyle rules
https://www.harmony-healthcare.com/blog/the-tb12-method-top-12-most-important-things-to-know
Tom Brady has said alternative medicine and a strict lifestyle were reasons for his success.
He woke up at 5:30 AM and went to bed at 8:30 PM. Did manual therapy for tissue pliability,
and avoid foods that are known to cause inflammation. Yoga suggests waking up close to
the Creator’s Time (4:24-5:12 AM), having calming foods which give energy, eating ~two
hours early, close to sunset, before going to sleep ~9:00 PM, to be agile, engaged, and robust.
