Sudeshna Biswas (Chakraborty), table tennis player in Commonwealth game

Author: Debu Chaudhuri | Posted on: 5th, Apr, 2023

I met Sudeshna while she was organizing to start Bergen County, Durga Puja. She was inspired by her Husband, Deep Chakraborty. A talented family with art, culture, and sports. Durga Puja was very successful including food and cultural events. She finished her MBA and is now an active teaching member of the Bergen County Community College. She was an olympian standard table tennis player, but she never boasted about it. She had many winning games in India. She told me she was on the list in the 11th position. True, she was not able to reach the pinnacle of the table tennis game, but her lifelong effort to make a successful career is going on. She has started organizing a few tennis centers to teach children, youth, and adults. I went to a center in Bergenfield, NJ. It was in a big rented Hall from a Church with 6 or 8 tennis boards. She formed a non-profit organization where her goal is for the senior’s health by having them in the active role with table tennis games. She was inspired by her mother to enter table tennis in her childhood. We all pray for her success in all her effort.
