Chest of New Dream

Author: Kamal Acharyya | Posted on: 18th, Dec, 2024

Hello, Life, you will not be able to
drive me mad everywhere, as you like,
I have found a chest of new dreams,
with which I am busy in my twilights!

No more you will be able to
force me to run blindfolded,
towards the mirage of success
in the labyrinthine of progress,
completely disoriented and confused
in the midst of love, relationships,
advancement and growth!

There is nothing in my chest of new dreams,
for which I had been running
around blindly throughout my life –
power, success, fame, wealth, prosperity……
always promoting myself in artificial glory;
the new dream doesn’t teach me
hatred, envy, pride, enmity,
doesn’t make me mad
with inherent “six evils”,
doesn’t make me depressed
with the sound of dry leaves!

Oh, Life, that new dream
guides me to look at you differently,
teaches me to embrace life with joy and delight,
through a path of critical self-analysis,
instead of finding fault with others,
silently tells me, you are an eternal search!

Want to know what is there
in that chest of new dreams?
A small piece of paper with a note –
“It‟s time for you, search for your own self”!!

  3. A good deal of insight into what is – or should be – the life values for which to strive. Too many of us fail to realize what is truly important in our brief span of life on earth.
